Laboratory staff

The laboratory staff is working on

  • the study of the intensity of specific immunity to pathogens: infectious rhinotracheitis; parainfluenza-3; virus diarrhea – mucous membrane diseases (VD-BS); adenovirus infection, respiratory and syncytial infection in cattle; porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, porcine transmissible gastroenteritis, porcine circovirus type 2, classical swine fever, porcine parvovirus disease, actinobacillus pleuropneumonia, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Chlamophila abortus;
  • the study of the hormonal status of farm animals in different physiological periods. Immunological research methods determine the quantitative serum content of estradiol, cortisol, progesterone and testosterone;
  • the study of the humoral link of immunity. As part of this research area, the employees determine the level of total immunoglobulins, as well as class A, M, G immunoglobulins. At the same time, the level of cytokines IL-1, IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, IFN-y, TNF-a, circulating immune complexes, bactericidal, complementary and lysozyme activities, cytokines are determined;
  • a comprehensive study of the cellular link of the immune system. The employees determine T- and B-lymphocytes, functional and metabolic activities of neutrophils (indicators of phagocytosis, spontaneous and induced bactericidal activity of segmented granulocytes);
  • the study of the comparative efficacy of immunomodulatory and therapeutic drugs used in veterinary practice. Methodical approaches to the prevention and treatment of immunodeficiency states in animals are being developed;
  • in order to ensure the biological safety of fodders, a quantitative determination of mycotoxins is carried out in the laboratory: Aflatoxin B1, Ochratoxin A, T-2 toxin, Zearalenone, deoxynivalenol (DON).

Research area
