“ALL-RUSSIAN VETERINARY RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF PATHOLOGY, PHARMACOLOGY AND THERAPY”.

The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Coordination of Research organizes the educational process for training academic and teaching staff of the top-qualification in the system of higher education: postgraduate students in accordance with the nomenclature of specialties of scientists, as well as applicants for the degree of candidate of sciences.

It carries out organizational and technical control of the scientific activities of the institute and the integration of science and education, coordinates the main directions of the institute’s work.

Functions

The main functions of the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Coordination of Research are the organization of admission to educational programs for training academic and teaching staff in compliance with postgraduate training program, interaction on training issues, monitoring the timeliness of the implementation of individual plans of postgraduate students and teaching staff, maintaining personal files of postgraduate students and other documentation according to the nomenclature.

Accepts applicants for full-time and part-time postgraduate studies and draws up the necessary documents in accordance with the established procedure, submits them for consideration by the examining board. Develops schedules for conducting and passing entrance and candidate exams, coordinates them with the management of the institution and monitors their implementation. Notifies the members of the examining board, postgraduate students and applicants for a scientific degree about the time and place of the examinations. It provides the work of the examining board.

Involves the employees from the teaching staff and specialists in the relevant training profile to participate in the educational process. Consults postgraduate students and applicants for a scientific degree on their rights and obligations, the current rules and the procedure for completing dissertations.

The Department also carries out patent-information and patent-technical research, legal advisory and information assistance on copyright protection issues; prepares reports on the results of the institute’s activities, develops research plans and programs to improve the efficacy of the scientific institution.
